Kindergarten Classroom Aide Position Summary Saint Mary School is seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible Kindergarten Classroom Aide to support the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for students. The Classroom Aide will assist with classroom instruction, student supervision, daily routines, organization, and students' social and emotional development. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and school staff while encouraging students to develop independence, responsibility, kindness, and age-appropriate problem-solving skills. Essential Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons, activities, learning centers, and classroom routines. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills and concepts introduced by the classroom teacher. Provide appropriate assistance while encouraging student independence, responsibility, and age-appropriate problem-solving. Assist with classroom management and reinforce behavioral expectations established by the teacher and school. Help maintain a positive, welcoming, respectful, and orderly classroom environment. Supervise students during classroom activities, arrival, dismissal, transitions, recess, lunch, restroom breaks, assemblies, field trips, and other school activities as assigned. Prepare instructional materials, bulletin boards, classroom displays, learning centers, student materials, and other resources requested by the classroom teacher. Support students in developing positive social skills, including sharing, cooperation, kindness, responsibility, and respectful communication. Model appropriate behavior, language, manners, patience, and respect when interacting with students. Assist with classroom celebrations, special activities, school programs, field trips, and other events as needed. Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding students, families, faculty, staff, and school matters. Follow all school policies, procedures, safety protocols, and directives of the classroom teacher and school administration. Participate in required meetings, training sessions, professional development, and safety training as directed. Perform other duties reasonably related to the position as assigned by the classroom teacher or administration. Qualifications High school diploma required. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the church and school. Previous experience working with children preferred. Experience in a classroom or educational setting preferred. Safe Environment Requirements Successful completion of BCI and FBI background checks .
