Job Overview As an Educational Aide, you will play a pivotal role in helping shape the minds and hearts of young learners. You will support teachers and students an engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your experience in special education will empower you to support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. With your passion and commitment to student success, you'll help cultivate a nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive. What you'll do Assisting the implementation of lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to individual learning styles. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration among students. Assist with managing classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, and other members of the students' IEP team to ensure each student's needs are being met. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education, literacy, math, and childhood development. Basic qualifications High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent. Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and colleagues. Preferred qualifications Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities. Familiarity with implementing curriculum and lesson planning strategies.
