In this role, you will support the development and care of infants in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for working with young children will help foster their growth, curiosity, and emotional well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the foundational years of a child's life while developing your skills in early childhood education and caregiving. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development and learning. Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for children. Observe and document each infant's progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform personalized care plans. Engage with children through play, music, stories, and sensory activities that stimulate their senses and encourage exploration. Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective communication with parents or guardians. Experience Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants is essential. Experience with classroom management techniques that support behavior management and positive reinforcement. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus. Familiarity with childcare best practices including diapering routines, feeding schedules, and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs. Previous experience in toddler care can be beneficial for understanding the unique needs of infants.
