9666335-45103 Job Description Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in specialized school environments. Multiple contract opportunities are available for paraprofessionals, working in both high school and elementary settings, with immediate start dates extending through the end of the academic year. As a valued paraprofessional, youll work collaboratively with teachers and other staff during school hours, 7:30am to 3:00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid break). Your morning presence is essential for assisting students as they arrive, ensuring a smooth start to their day and supporting their transition from bus to classroom. There are two high school roles open, each focused on supporting students with autism in a self-contained setting. Classrooms are limited to six students, offering the opportunity for more individualized attention. As the third paraprofessional in the class, duties may include providing communication support (including AAC devices) and assisting with toileting as needed. An additional position is open in a specialized elementary setting within the LINK program for students with autism and another in the RISE program, dedicated to supporting elementary learners with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs. The RISE classroom fosters growth in pro-social behavior and emotional regulation, with a maximum of eight to nine students and strong para support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar role in educational settings is preferred. Capability and willingness to support students with autism, including those who use AAC devices. Experience providing toileting assistance is a plus. Must have, or be willing to obtain, an educational aide permit with ESEA Endorsement (verify at the Ohio Department of Educations website).
