Instructor Aide - Chemistry

To increase collaborative interaction and learning within undergraduate courses with larger enrollments. Serve as learning coaches and support for teaching-related tasks.

Career Readiness Competencies :

Communication Critical Thinking Professionalism Facilitate collaboration among small groups of students and/or inquiry based, interactive learning. Help with designing and pre-testing in-class demonstrations or interactive activities. Provide help or review sessions with groups of students, during or outside of class. Assist with classroom management and supplementary activities. Agree to meet weekly with your assigned faculty member. Complete a one-hour tutor training session in the Learning Commons. Meet with other LAs four to five times throughout the semester for professional development. Prior completion of the course with a grade of B or better. Understanding of course material. Good communication (speaking and writing) skills.
