Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description

This position will support the preschool teacher with daily tasks within the classroom for students of all abilities. Responsibilities will include engaging in classroom activities with teachers and staff, assisting preschool students with diverse needs, and providing flexible assistance to the preschool team. The qualified candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalency, an Ohio Department of Education Aide Permit, CPR and First Aid certification or ability to to be certified, and a valid driver's license. Basic computer skills, the ability to lift, carry or move children in a safe manner are also required. In addition satisfactory comprehensive background checks and physical examination must be completed.
