Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant educational team as an Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape young minds and foster a nurturing learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with lead teachers, support classroom activities, and contribute to the development of children across early childhood education settings. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including Creative Curriculum and preschool frameworks Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth through engaging activities and positive behavior management techniques Help facilitate classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, outdoor play, and rest periods to ensure a smooth daily schedule Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation Support communication efforts using American Sign Language (ASL) or other augmentative methods when appropriate to enhance understanding and interaction Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity Collaborate with team members on curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies to support literacy education, math skills, and overall childhood development Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschool or childcare centers is highly preferred Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for young learners Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, children, and families Ability to engage actively in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse learners Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous Join us in creating an inspiring educational environment where every child can thrive!
