Job Description

After School Assistant Teacher Position Support elementary-aged children before and after school through fun, engaging activities that encourage learning and friendship.
Responsibilities include:
Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plans and enrichment activities. Help students with homework. Lead games, crafts, outdoor play, and group activities. Build positive relationships with children and families. Serve snacks and assist with light cleaning. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.

Experience working with children or knowledge of child development is preferred. Warm, positive, and energetic personality. Ability to actively supervise children in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to complete YMCA-paid CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and Prevention of Infectious Diseases training. Must meet Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements, including background checks.
