Job Description

This part-time position is filled based on an applicant's specific current skills in the nursing clinical setting. Opportunities may be available across various specialty areas. Please include detailed information regarding your nursing expertise to help us accurately evaluate your experience and match you with a suitable opening. Assists students to perform nursing procedures in the clinical site setting. Serves as a resource person to students and clinical site facility staff during clinical sessions. Ensures student compliance with clinical site facility policies, procedures, and safety precautions. Provides remedial instruction to students in the clinical setting. Advises faculty/course lead of common problems encountered and progress made by students in the clinical setting. Assists students in the operation of software such as Electronic Health Records used in the clinical setting. Maintains records of student clinical attendance and skills competencies. Assist in the operations of the simulation laboratory as needed, including virtual simulation. Assists instructor in the Nursing lab as needed. May be assigned to perform other duties in the Nursing Department during peak workload periods. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing. Prefer teaching experience to be in an associate degree in nursing program. Will also consider recent teaching experience in an education/staff development department in a hospital setting. Must be a Registered Nurse with a current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of Ohio. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Must be flexible to work during the week, in the evenings, or on weekends.
