Job Description

Educational Aide - Early Childhood Education
LOCATION
Vanguard Tech Center, Fremont, Ohio MINIMUM Possess a high school diploma/GED equivalent. Possess an Ohio Educational Aide
QUALIFICATIONS
Permit and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or the ability to obtain them. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively with high school students while maintaining exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills. A background in Early Childhood Education is preferred, including relevant training and experience working with young children. Applicants should have an active and current OCCRRA account. The selected candidate must possess current certifications in First Aid, CPR (infant, child, and adult), Communicable Disease Prevention, and Child Abuse Prevention, or be willing to obtain these certifications upon employment. Additionally, candidates must maintain a current physical examination and meet all state childcare licensing requirements necessary to work in an Early Childhood Education classroom and be counted toward staff-to-child ratios. A valid Ohio driver's license and positive background checks (BCI/FBI) are mandatory. GENERAL The educational aide shall perform educational duties in a classroom/lab,
DESCRIPTION:
including supervising students and assisting with instructional tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up supplies for the classroom and lab. The candidate shall implement the Superintendent's directives, district goals, and policies of the Board of Education.
WORK WEEK/YEAR
part time, Monday through Thursday
SALARY:
In accordance with the classified policy handbook.
