Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A school in Versailles, OH is seeking an experienced paraprofessional for an urgent backfill position to support students in a classroom setting. This contract role is ideal for a paraprofessional with experience working one-on-one with students, preferably with training or experience in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to a student, utilizing PECS communication techniques if applicable Assist with classroom activities and provide targeted support to meet individual student needs Collaborate with teaching staff to support instructional goals Adapt to a temporary assignment covering until the regularly assigned paraprofessional returns from training Support small classroom groups as needed, if assigned to a broader support role

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting Training or experience implementing PECS or similar communication systems an asset Ability to work closely and patiently with students requiring individualized attention Flexibility to cover different roles based on the needs of the classroom and school staff

Location:

Versailles, OH This is a contract opportunity requiring immediate availability to support a school while the permanent paraprofessional completes training. The client can adjust the role if internal staff shifts to cover the 1:1 para, opening the position to provide small classroom support instead.
