Full Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Teacher to join our Orchestra team at Bethany Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a desire to help students learn and grow in their musical abilities. Responsibilities:

Assist the Orchestra Teacher in planning and implementing lessons and activities for students Work with individual students and small groups to provide support and guidance in their musical development Help maintain the Orchestra classroom and equipment, ensuring that all instruments are in good working order Assist with the organization and execution of concerts and other performances Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Music education or music major from a major university Experience working with middle school students in an educational setting Strong knowledge of music theory and performance techniques Ability to play multiple instruments, including stringed instruments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for concerts and performances Must pass a background check and drug screening
