Job Description

Job Overview
PART-TIME UP TO 10 HOURS PER WEEK - NO BENEFITS.
Provide administrative support for Associate Director of Oasis. Provide in-person care for children and youth with special care needs during Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings and other children/youth activities. Assist with special events and projects helping with design and production of marketing and communication materials (email, print, web, socal networking, posters, t-shirts, etc.) Duties Provide support for the Director of the Oasis Ministry. Assist with the care and development of special needs children during Church activities and worship services. Assist with mailings, weekly updates and correspondence as requested. Keep track of weekly attendance for children and youth activities as requested. Build positive relationships with children, youth and parents. Perform other duties as requested. Skills Proven supervising experience working with children or individuals with special needs Strong crisis intervention skills to handle emergencies calmly and effectively Knowledge of childcare best practices combined with security awareness to maintain a safe environment Excellent conflict management and social work skills to foster positive relationships Ability to perform data entry, filing, data collection, and maintain detailed records accurately First aid certification and medication administration training for emergency preparedness Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and external agencies High School Diploma required; Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks, to work independently, to hold confidences, to be a team player and to handle situations discreetly.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
