Our schools support children from 1 to 6 years old. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about childcare to fill one of our Assistant Teacher positions. Our Assistant Teachers work in part-time and full-time roles, with a flexible schedule and room to develop professionally. Here are a few more details about this opportunity: Overview of the Position The Assistant Teacher is responsible for supervising children throughout the day, maintaining a warm and engaging environment. At the direction of the class Teacher, the Assistant Teacher will support the daily rhythm, including snack preparation, setting up rest time, and helping children transition from one activity to another. Our Assistant Teachers play a vital role in our classroom success, and the right person will be passionate about helping children grow into wonderful members of our community. Requirements We are seeking an applicant that already has some experience working with children, or a demonstrated interest in working in the early learning industry. Applicant must be 18 years of age, and have or complete the following ( Please note - if you do not have all of these things now, we can work with you upon hiring ): Registration on the Oregon background check registry. Current first aid and CPR training, or the ability to obtain certification in the first 30 days of employment. Current food handler's card. Completed (or able to complete prior to your first day) the following: Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety; Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect; Safe Sleep for Oregon's Infants; Foundations for Learning We look forward to hearing from you!
