Job Summary:
Job Description Wee are seeking a Program Assistant for our Youth Center serving grades 1-4. This role supports after-school programs focused on Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Success, and Good Character & Citizenship. The Program Assistant helps create a positive, supervised, and engaging environment where youth can learn, grow, and participate in a variety of activities. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Experience working with youth grades 1-12 (preferred) CPR/First Aid certification (preferred) Food Handler's certification (preferred) Successful completion of a criminal background check Employer Notes Employer notes the following expectations:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Job Duties
  • Create and maintain an environment that supports priority outcomes in Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Achievement, and Good Character & Citizenship.
  • Facilitate daily programs and activities indoors and outdoors.
  • Promote and encourage member participation.
  • Supervise youth by monitoring behavior, activities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Model positive behavior and guide youth as needed, including homework support.
  • Maintain and enforce Club rules and expectations.
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed and equipment is properly maintained.
  • Report concerns related to youth, families, staff, or facilities to program leadership.
  • Maintain positive relationships with members, parents/guardians, and school staff.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and assist with special programs or events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Hours 25-35 hours per week during the school year. Wages/Benefits Hourly wage based on experience. Additional benefits may be discussed during the hiring process.
