Teacher Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher's Aide to join our team. As a Teacher's Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve supporting classroom activities, providing individualized attention to students, and assisting with lesson planning.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement lesson plans and educational activities
• Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
• Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development
• Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
• Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
• Assist with record-keeping and maintaining student files
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
• Basic understanding of behavior management techniques
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus
• Experience in special education or working with diverse learners is an asset
