Sisters, Oregon Pay:
$18.35- 20.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, day shifts (7:30 AM-11:00 AM, with flexibility up to 2:00 PM)Hours:

Part-Time | In-Person | Year-Round We are hiring immediately. Soul Blossom Child Care Center is seeking a reliable, experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to step into a supportive role in both the classroom and kitchen. Candidates must have prior child care experience , have completed all state-required trainings , and be currently enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR) . Located in the historic Sisters Elementary School building, our program blends Waldorf-inspired education, nature-based learning, and a nurturing, relationship-centered approach for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. About the Role This is a dual-role position supporting both the classroom and kitchen. Classroom (Primary Focus): Support teachers with daily routines and classroom prep Assist with diapering, feeding, naps, and transitions Help create a calm, safe, and engaging environment Participate in circle time, outdoor play, and seasonal activities Supervise children indoors and outdoors Kitchen Support (As Needed): Prepare simple, healthy snacks and meals Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen Assist with dishes, food storage, and meal service Support classroom mealtimes Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Prior experience working in a licensed child care setting All state-required child care trainings completed Current enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR) Ability to meet DELC licensing requirements What We're Looking For Dependable, punctual, and ready to jump in Calm, patient, and nurturing with young children Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexible and willing to support where needed Interest in Waldorf-inspired or nature-based education (a plus) Physical Requirements Lift and carry children up to 40 pounds Sit, kneel, and move at child level throughout the day Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Additional Requirements (or willingness to obtain) CPR & First Aid Certification Oregon Food Handler's Card Benefits (for 32+ hours/week after 90 days) Paid holidays and program closure days Paid in-service training days Additional paid time off increases after 1, 2, and 3 years of employment To Apply (Immediate Need) Please send your resume and a short introduction to: april@sisterssoulblossom.orgSubject:
