Riverview Center for Growth is actively hiring an Instructional Aide / Behavior & Educational Assistant (BEA-I) to support students academically and behaviorally in classroom environments. What You'll Do Assist classroom teachers with academic instruction, particularly in English Language Arts (ELA) and math Help implement individualized behavior support plans in collaboration with educational staff Lead small group activities and provide one-on-one academic support Substitute for the teacher when needed during short-term absences Supervise and support students during lunch, recess, and other school activities Foster a safe, organized, and supportive classroom environment Maintain records, assist with student materials, and communicate regularly with the classroom teacher Step in for behavior interventions, provide breaks, and engage in check-ins with students as needed Minimum Qualifications Be at least 18 years of age Have a high school diploma or the equivalent Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education ; or obtained an Associate's (or higher) degree ; or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate through a formal state, or local academic assessment or para-educator certificate program demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing: Reading, writing, and mathematics. Physical & Environmental Requirements Work is performed in various settings including office, classroom, therapy rooms, playground, community, homes etc. Some standing, bending, walking, running, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Ability to physically restrain children up to age 13. This position requires travel to meet the needs of clients; Driving personal vehicles will be required.
