Little Nestlings Early Learning Center West Linn, OR About Us:
Little Nestlings is a nonprofit, Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool located inside Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in West Linn. We believe children learn best through exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences. Our environment celebrates curiosity, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic person to join our nest and support our growing classroom community.
Position Overview:
Part-Time | Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Little Nestlings Early Learning Center is seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic educator to join our Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool community. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team while also feeling confident leading small groups of children independently. This unique position combines two important roles each day: 10:00 AM - 2:30
PM:
Assistant Teacher/Floater supporting classrooms, preparing materials, helping facilitate children's investigations, supervising outdoor play, and providing breaks and classroom support. 2:30 PM - 5:00
PM:
Aftercare Teacher, planning and facilitating a calm, engaging afternoon program for a mixed-age group of preschool children. Responsibilities Support lead teachers throughout the preschool day Lead small groups of children independently Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment Facilitate open-ended play, outdoor exploration, and creative experiences Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Assist with classroom organization and daily routines Support our aftercare program from 2:30-5:00
PM Qualifications:
Must meet Oregon teacher qualifications to independently supervise and lead small groups of children Current Central Background Registry (CBR) enrollment required Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred Positive, collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills Passion for play-based, child-centered education
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM - 5:00
PM Compensation:
