Job Description

Anticipated Special Education Consultant (K-12)

Permanent, full-time position at the Annville-Cleona School District available immediately. The successful candidate will collaborate with special education and general education staff to support student learning and teacher and paraeducator practice.

The special education consultant provides:

Individual and group professional development to expand and refine the understanding of special education, Specially Designed Instruction, and specific student needs

Collaboration with administrators, teachers, and related service providers to support program development, student scheduling, transition services, and data-driven decision-making

The special education consultant will also serve as an "internal coach" for in-district Autistic Support, Emotional Support, and Life-Skills Support classrooms to progress the development of instructional and behavioral practices within these programs. PA Certification in Special Education (K-12) with at least 5 years of teaching experience is required. PA Certification in Special Education Supervisory is preferred but not required. Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills, are desired.
