Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a Pre K Counts Assistant Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. In this vital role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson implementation, and foster a positive, engaging environment for preschool children. Your energy and commitment will inspire curiosity and growth in every child you work with, ensuring they receive the highest quality early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and early childhood learning standards. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies tailored to young children's needs. Engage children in hands-on activities that stimulate cognitive development, creativity, and social skills. Help create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. Support daily routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative approach to early childhood development. Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization while adhering to health and safety regulations in daycare or preschool settings. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles including childhood development theories and curriculum development. Experience with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies suitable for preschool-aged children. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents in their child's learning journey. Previous experience in private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous but not required.
