Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic early childhood education team as a Pre K Counts Center Support (Floater), where your energetic and adaptable approach will ensure a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. In this role, you will provide vital classroom support across multiple preschool settings, assisting teachers with daily activities, fostering positive interactions, and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for children to explore and grow. Your flexibility and enthusiasm will help maintain seamless classroom operations and enrich the educational experience for every child. Duties Support classroom activities by assisting teachers with lesson implementation, including literacy, math, and curriculum development aligned with early childhood education standards. Engage with children through play, learning centers, and structured activities to promote social-emotional development and positive behavior management. Help create a welcoming environment by supervising children during transitions, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods. Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans for children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies to ensure a safe and stimulating learning space. Cleaning duties as assigned. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math instruction, and curriculum development. Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and community partners. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a floater supporting multiple classrooms. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
