Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Qualifications and Responsibilities. (a) Assist in the implementation of daily activities (b) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. (2) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training. (3) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. (4) A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in § 3270.31(c). (5) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years experience with children.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

(1) General management of the assigned Classroom, to include any/all of the following duties:

• Supervise daily operations of The Classroom in compliance with state regulations
• Change diapers
• Feed and care for children
• Clean room
• Empty trash
• Vacuum or mop floor
• Wipe mats
• Professional development in accordance with DHS Regulations, Stars Quality Initiative, and NAEYC
• Classroom program planning in collaboration with lead teachers -- curriculum implementation through written lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Executing the facility's program objectives and activities

Note:

CDA or Associates Degree is preferred, but not required

Pay:

From $17.00 per hour
