Rehabilitation Aide/Sports Medicine Instructor Canonsburg, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22639738 Summary Canonsburg, PA In-Person $52589.00 - $52589.00 per Year 4 Years Experience Bachelor's degree No Commission 37.50 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Rehabilitation Aide/Sports Medicine Instructor position available 2026-2027 school year. The position includes delivering instruction to high school-age students using the Program of Study Task Grid for Rehabilitation Aide/Sports Medicine. Candidate must have the following qualifications: ? 4+ years of wage-earning experience in the Rehab Aide/Sports Medicine field. ? Must be licensed or certified as an athletic trainer, registered nurse, physical or occupational therapist, or physical or occupational therapist assistant, with qualifications to obtain such additional certification as required, and such other academic and/or experiential qualifications as required by the Joint Operating Committee adopted curriculum. ? Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate high school students. ? Clearances for Acts 34, 151, and 114 will be required before hiring.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? The Rehabilitation Aide | Sports Medicine teacher shall be responsible for the development of curriculum, course outline, lesson plans, and other professional responsibilities needed to provide effective student learning opportunities. ? The Rehabilitation Aide | Sports Medicine teacher will revise his/her program as technological developments in the field demand. ? Responsibility for professional development, certification, good classroom and laboratory management shall be developed in close harmony with the Executive Director and/or designee and Counselors so that a total team concept might be employed in the operation of the Western Area Career & Technology Center. ? Adhere to policies, procedures and protocols established by federal, state and local agencies and the Joint Operating Committee, and philosophies consistent with those of the administration and/or designee.
