This is a part-time position and the successful candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards.

Substitute Teachers Payrate:

$120.00 per day Paraprofessionals payrate $15.00 per

Hour Responsibilities:

Substitute Teachers/Paraprofessionals are expected to provide the best learning environment possible for students and should demonstrate the highest professional behavior at all times. Be familiar with teaching methods that focus on student learning and growth. Demonstrate a high level of knowledge on district curricula. Observe and report inappropriate behavior, accidents, or injuries to administrators. Attend staff meetings and receive training from school administrators. Provide classroom support for students as needed.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs within the classroom. Model the ideas that embrace diversity and inclusivity while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions. A full-time paraeducator may also be referred to as paraprofessional, 1:1 aide, education technician, teacher aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant, education assistant, learning support assistant, and teaching assistant.
