Currently hiring a special education ART paraprofessional for grades K-8 Special Education Para Responsibilities include: Provide instructional and behavioral support and assistance to classroom teachers and students assigned to a team in a K-8 setting. Supervise students during recess, lunch, and sensory breaks. Record student progress on data sheets, goal sheets, and daily logs to assist the teacher and Behavior Coordinator. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college or AA degree desirable.
Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certification Experience:
Required�Must possess a foundational knowledge and understanding of art concepts, techniques, and creative expression. 1 year of accepted experience working with children with autism or other special needs, 2 years (Preferred) Special education: 1 year (Preferred) Experience with a social-communication classroom TEACCH-style program or a structured-style room for children with autism and/or special needs is preferred. Must have strong verbal & written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with both families & staff. Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
