A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Position Overview:
Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorders in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor educational goals, behavioral supports, accommodations, and communication strategies to promote academic, social, and functional skill development. Collaborate with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress and success. Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance with special education regulations and district policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification with the Special Education endorsement Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies (Preferred) Why Make a Move with Cross Country Education?
