Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a passionate and caring Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for students across various age groups. In this role, you will work closely with children, helping to implement educational activities, manage classroom behavior, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth and development. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about early childhood education, experienced in working with children with diverse needs, and committed to making a difference in young learners' lives. Responsibilities Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills. Support children with developmental disabilities or autism by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting activities as needed. Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes active learning and curiosity. Use effective classroom management techniques to encourage positive behavior and support children's emotional well-being. Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and specialists to track student progress and address any concerns. Assist with lesson planning, activity preparation, and classroom setup to ensure smooth daily operations. Support children's social interactions and provide guidance during playtime, meal times, and transitions throughout the day. Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or private schools is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students who have disabilities or require additional support. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Experience supporting literacy education, math instruction, or curriculum development is a plus. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods used for deaf education is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for fostering childhood development. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
