Job Description

The Cocalico School District is accepting applications for part-time paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. Be part of our team as we inspire and support learning for every child, every chance, every day! Highly qualified status (Associate's Degree, 48 post-secondary credits or Credential of Competency for Paraprofessionals) is preferred, but not required.
Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Work with students, minimizing distractions toward others in the classroom.
  • Effectively present information to students, individually or in small groups.
  • Monitor student schedules to ensure the students are in their assigned location at appropriate times.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a positive attitude in the classroom, encouraging students to do the same.
  • Monitor the cafeteria facilities for sanitary and safety conditions.
  • Monitor student schedules to ensure the students are in the cafeteria at appropriate times, adhering to lunch schedules.
  • Encourage students to maintain expected standards of behavior, displaying appropriate table manners and respecting others.
  • Maintain compliance with, and enforce, established discipline policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the playground facilities for sanitary and safety conditions.
  • Monitor student schedules to ensure the students are on the playground at appropriate times, adhering to established schedules.
  • Encourage students to maintain expected standards of behavior, playing safely and using playground equipment appropriately.
