Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a related support role is preferred. Ability to work patiently and attentively with students in various grade levels. Capable of assisting with mobility, personal care routines, and classroom participation. Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families. Adaptability and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced educational environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to assigned students during the school day, both in and outside the classroom. Assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and physical mobility as needed. Promote inclusion, independence, and active participation in classroom activities. Implement teacher-directed interventions and support individualized education plans (IEPs). Offer encouragement, redirection, and positive reinforcement. Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for students.
