Substitute Classroom and Nutrition Aide (10-month) Greensburg, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22600860 Summary Greensburg, PA In-Person $15.00 per Hour 1 Years Experience Secondary education, no high school diploma (grades 9-12) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Part-Time / Hours May Vary Description The Classroom and Nutrition Aide supports the PIC Kidz Zone by helping with daily meal service and education activities for preschool-aged children. This role ensures a safe, healthy, and welcoming mealtime environment, while also reinforcing positive habits, manners, and safety practices. The position also assists with classroom transitions, record-keeping, and other program needs.

What You'll Do:

Coordinate and assist with setup, serving, and cleanup of meals and snacks. Eat with children to encourage conversation, positive social skills, and proper use of utensils. Reinforce health, safety, and hygiene practices throughout mealtime. Maintain accurate logs and records related to food service and sanitation. Support staff with arrival and departure routines. Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned to support classroom and program needs.

What You Bring:

High School Diploma or GED. Willingness to obtain a CDA certificate. Experience with food service and/or supervising preschool children preferred. Problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Patience and strong interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills.
