A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
We are in need of experienced, kind and motivated aides for the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit with GHR Education. These positions directly impact and benefit the lives of children who have disabilities and are struggling in the classroom without the extra support
- To follow the student's IEP and the modifications and instructional techniques recommended by related service staff.
- To become proficient in students' individual communication methods and strategies.
- To create instructional materials as needed.
- To accompany and support the student during community-based instruction.
- To maintain communication between home and school and keep daily log of information about the student and his/her activities.
- To participate in IEP and Team meetings.
- To participate in the assessment of the student and in the preparation of IEPs, progress reports, behavior plans, data collection, and other documentation for program monitoring.
