$14-$16/hour Work With Kids. Build Your Skills. Make a Difference. Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic Assistant Program Facilitator who enjoys working with children and is interested in learning how to lead engaging, hands-on programs. No teaching certification or previous classroom-management experience is required. We provide paid training, curriculum, materials, and ongoing support. Applicants with previous experience independently leading and managing groups of children may be considered for a Program Facilitator position with a higher starting pay rate. Programs take place both at the Snapology Discovery Center in Lancaster and at local schools and community partner locations. Schedule We're looking for someone with a flexible schedule who can work a variety of shifts , including: Weekday daytime programs and field trips Afternoon and evening programs Saturdays, typically at least every other Saturday School-day-off programs, camps, and special events Weekday daytime availability is important for this position. Weekly hours will vary based on scheduled programming, field trips, camps, and events, so a specific number of hours cannot be guaranteed each week. Additional hours may be available assisting with program preparation, organizing materials and kits, setting up activity stations, and other on-site support. Snapology is closed on Sundays. What You'll Do Assist with hands-on building, creative, and problem-solving programs for children ages 4-14 Support and engage children while reinforcing expectations and creating a positive environment Receive paid training in program facilitation and group management Help prepare, set up, clean, sort, and organize program materials Work with children at the Snapology Discovery Center and travel to local schools and community locations for field trips, programs, and special events Communicate positively with children, families, coworkers, and community partners What We're Looking For You don't need to be a teacher or an expert in robotics or engineering. We're looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with children Is friendly, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic Has flexibility to work daytime, evening, and Saturday shifts Is willing to learn and comfortable receiving coaching Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team Has reliable transportation to the Snapology Discovery Center and local program locations Can lift and carry program materials weighing up to 20 pounds Can obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse, and FBI federal background clearances Has current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or is willing to obtain required certification after hire Grow With Snapology You'll begin by working alongside experienced Program Facilitators and receive paid, hands-on training. As you develop your skills and demonstrate that you're ready to independently lead groups, you may be eligible to advance into a Program Facilitator position.
