Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's life as a dedicated paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. Support one elementary-aged female student in a full-time, 1:1 role, assisting with moderate behavioral and developmental needs. This contract position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 12, 2026, with a predictable Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. Your presence will provide essential, hands-on support, contributing positively to the student's growth and success in a caring school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings Background supporting students with moderate behavioral and developmental challenges Ability to maintain patience, empathy, and consistency in a 1:1 support role Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment Skilled at collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, consistent 1:1 support for an elementary student throughout the school day Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and individual behavioral supports Adapt communication style to best suit the student's needs Monitor progress, observing and recording relevant behaviors or achievements Encourage independence while ensuring safety and well-being Work as a valued member of a multidisciplinary educational team Expect an engaging role where your compassion, reliability, and expertise truly matter each day.
