Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Paraprofessional (PCA/BT) for the remainder of the 25/26 academic year and the full 26/27 school year. This contract position is conveniently located near Lansdale, PA and offers consistent weekday hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 3:00 pm. You will assist in a 7th Grade Center Autistic Support classroom, supporting multiple students in grades 7 and 8 who present behavioral challenges, including aggression and/or self-care needs throughout the school day. Your dedication will help shape a positive, supportive learning environment for these students.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Experience working in school settings, especially as a Paraprofessional, PCA, BT, or similar roles Familiarity supporting students with autism and behavioral needs Comfort with possible physical aggression and assisting with self-care requirements Strong communication and teamwork abilities Calm demeanor and resilience in challenging situations Professionalism and reliability given the behavioral focus of the classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide daily classroom support to students with disabilities, particularly those requiring behavioral and self-care assistance Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized education and behavior plans Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere Assist with transitions, routines, and interventions as needed Maintain confidentiality and uphold student dignity This is a fantastic chance to make a daily impact while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational setting.
