6/30/2026 11:59 PM Eastern Position Summary Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic part-time Instructional Assistant to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success. The Instructional Assistant administers and monitors assessments for students and community members to include testing for college placement, entrance to and evaluation for nursing and allied health programs, admissions to the Police Academy, ACT, CLEP, Praxis and Pearson-Vue. Other testing services include make-up tests for classes, special accommodation testing, online and hybrid learning exams, certifications for credit and non-credit classes and testing for other colleges and institutions. Essential Functions Administer and monitor assessments for students and community members including college placement, nursing and allied health programs, Police Academy, ACT, CLEP, Praxis and Pearson-Vue testing. Facilitate testing needs and ensure that processes are followed to maintain a high standard of academic integrity. Obtain and maintain certification for CLEP, Praxis, Pearson-Vue, and other computer-based testing as required. Proctor exams for students who have been approved for special accommodation by the Office of Disability Services. Travel to DCCC Branch Locations and high schools to administer and proctor tests. Schedule test takers for testing appointments in Connect2Success. Oversee testing center supplies to ensure students have approved materials. Record data of attendance in Connect2Success for all tests administered. Respond promptly to testing inquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face, seeking information to ensure accuracy and redirecting calls when necessary. Maintain sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Assessment Services or either the Assistant Director of Testing or the Team Lead. The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, and dynamic partner who fosters collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with higher education assessment. This individual will demonstrate the spirit of an independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College's mission and goals. The Instructional Assistant will demonstrate a high level of sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds as well as the ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results. The successful candidate must have the ability to work nights and weekends. Experience & Education Qualified candidates will have prior test administration and proctor experience. An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
