Job Description

Job Summary Join our early childhood education family as an Assistant Pre-K Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape young minds during their most formative years. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for PreK children. Your energy and creativity will foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure each child's safety and well-being. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful impact on children's lives. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum development tailored to the developmental stages. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through daily routines. Engage with children through play, storytelling, literacy education, and physical activities to promote early childhood development. Help with special education needs, including early intervention strategies to support individual learning goals. Assist the lead teacher in preparing classroom materials, prepping materials for lesson plans, and help facilitate activities. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to childcare standards and regulations. Communicate with parents and other team members about the needs of the children if the lead teacher is not available. Skills Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children in preschool/PreK in a daycare settings, including toddler care and special education environments. Knowledge in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies. Familiarity with early intervention practices and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents effectively. Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners.
