Job Description

Substitute Teacher Service is now hiring an Emotional Support Paraprofessionals/PCA, and a Multiple-Disability Support Para to support at Garden Spot Secondary campus within Eastern Lancaster County School District.
Job Overview:
A Paraprofessional/Paraeducator is responsible for providing assistance to instructional programs by assisting the teacher in achieving educational objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole. Executes instructional activities with individual students or small groups of students following teacher direction and demonstration. Provides review and reinforcement in assigned academic subject area; tutors in general education classroom subjects; assists with homework assignments. Assists student(s) in special education and/or general education classes. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected in the classroom. Participates in Emergency drills as needed. Use of technology equipment. Observes and intervenes to redirect inappropriate behavior Monitors and guides student(s) to pay attention, participate in activities and complete tasks.
Hours:
7:10am-2:40pm - Applicants must be available to work the full shift. Qualifications and Required Documents Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months old •Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of transcripts/diploma acceptable) Additional required STS documents will be provided during on boarding process
