Job Description

Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS) is seeking a classroom assistant/paraprofessional to support a non-traditional classroom for the 2026/2027 School Year.
Position Summary:
Assistant/Paraprofessionals are hired to work with lead teachers. The position is full time. Responsibilities include working with individual students and small groups of students in all subject areas; leading whole class activities, collaborating in planning and implementing lessons and activities, managing student behaviors in keeping with the philosophy and values of PMCS, and additional duties, such as recess and lunch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students Commit to professional growth, self-reflection, a receptiveness to feedback, and a desire to continuously improve Implement rigorous and appropriate lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in cooperation with PMCS leadership and curricular resources developed by our Academic Team Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data to measure progress and use data to inform instruction Collaborate in grade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, plan events for joy and humor, and ensure student mastery of standards Engage families in their children's education by building relationships and maintaining regular communication Demonstrate genuine interest, belief, and care for students' personal and academic success Respond positively and effectively to challenges with a solutions-oriented resiliency Other duties as assigned by school administration Education and Experience Demonstrated expertise in subject area Outstanding instructional skills driven by data and delivered through rigorous and engaging strategies

Full-time Compensation:
$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year, generous benefits package including 403(b) retirement, PTO, insurance.
