Job description: Mi Casita is a Spanish immersion preschool where students are passionate about learning Spanish. Mi Casita is unique in that all classes are taught in Spanish with the goal of our students being fluent in Spanish when they graduate. Mi Casita serves children from the ages of 3 months to 5 years.

A Mi Casita preschool teacher:

Plans and implements a project-based learning curriculum that promotes the social, physical, cultural, and intellectual growth of children. Responsible for the safety, care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children. Communicates directly with parents. Communicates exclusively in Spanish with children. Maintains classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness. A Mi Casita preschool teacher assistant: Assists the preschool teacher.

Requirements:

Skills, Education / Knowledge, Experience

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

• Fluent in Spanish
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area highly desirable

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of early childhood education or working with children desirable
• 1+ years of experience working with assigned age group desirable

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent organizational skills required
• Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required
