Toddler Teacher Assistant 6730 Torresdale Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19135 $16.35 - $17.41 an hour - Part-time $16.35 - $17.41 an hour - Part-time Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning experience for all students. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote a respectful and cooperative atmosphere. Provide individualized attention to children, catering to their unique needs and developmental stages. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and development. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Qualifications Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education (classroom management experience preferred). Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Skills in babysitting, nannying, or working with children with disabilities are highly valued. Experience in toddler care and infant care is beneficial. Certification in First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and children. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth.
