Jun 04, 2026 The Department of Biological Sciences in the School of Science and Engineering invites applications for one or more Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor positions. These are non-tenure-track appointments reporting to the Department Chair. A successful candidate will teach multiple courses during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in general biology, non-majors' biology, and laboratory instruction.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a biological science discipline, demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and have previous university-level teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in course design or responsibility for delivering all or part of a course is an asset. The ability to teach an upper-level course in one or more biological subdisciplines is an asset. For more information on the department please visit http://www.duq.edu/biology.
