Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK-Counts/Early Intervention Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support young children's developmental growth by assisting lead teachers in creating engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments. Your energetic approach will help foster a love of learning in preschool-aged children, including those with diverse needs such as autism and disabilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early years while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment. Work directly with children to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities. Help with classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure smooth daily operations. Collaborate with team members to adapt curriculum for children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities. Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and maintaining cleanliness to create an inviting learning space. Experience Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare, private school, or early childhood education setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is highly valued. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy and math activities is desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to support positive student interactions. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities enhances your ability to support diverse learners effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and engaging families. Pay:
$17.30 - $22.00 per hour
