Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Program (Infant/Toddler) Full-Time | On-Site | 35
Hours Weekly Starting Wage:
$17.37/hour Join Our Early Learning Team ACE of NEPA is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support infants and toddlers in a nurturing early childhood setting. This position works closely with classroom teaching staff to create engaging learning experiences that encourage developmental growth, positive relationships, and school readiness in accordance with Head Start program expectations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and is committed to creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment for children and families. What You'll Do Assist with classroom routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions Support implementation of age-appropriate learning activities and curriculum Help maintain a healthy, organized, and developmentally supportive classroom Encourage language, social-emotional, and cognitive development through responsive interactions Observe and document developmental milestones and classroom progress Collaborate with Lead Teachers and support staff on daily planning and classroom management Participate in parent communication, family meetings, and home visit activities Ensure active supervision and adherence to health and safety procedures Assist with nutrition service and sanitation practices during meals and snacks Support inclusion efforts for children receiving additional developmental services Attend trainings, staff meetings, and required professional development sessions Provide classroom coverage and additional support duties as needed Qualifications Candidates must possess one of the following: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, OR Associate or bachelor's degree in another area plus at least 12 ECE credits, OR CDA credential in Infant/Toddler or Preschool educationPreferred Qualifications:
