Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students' success across various schools in the Scranton area as a Personal Care Aide (PCA). This contract opportunity runs from now through June 2027, offering steady hours (35 per week) within an engaging academic environment. You'll be an essential part of an onsite team, working where the district most needs your skills, whether that's in elementary, intermediate, high school, or specialized settings. Flexibility is key—while you can express school site preferences, final assignments will be made by the district to best meet student needs.
Key Qualifications & Experiences:
Experience as a paraprofessional or personal care aide in educational settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preference given to candidates with current PA credentials Ability to adapt to new environments and work with diverse student populations, including those with special needs (autism, emotional support, etc.) Willingness to complete all Pennsylvania onboarding requirements: Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126 Training, Act 168 Paperwork, Physical (within 60 days), PATCH/Act 134 PA State Police clearance, 2-Step TB or Quantiferon TB Blood Test, and a pre-employment drug screen Ability to provide professional references and documentation for credentialing
