Precision HR Solutions is partnered with the West Mifflin Area School District and currently searching for "Substitute Paraprofessionals" to work with students in grades PK-12. These are typically day-to-day positions. If the candidates are available to work in neighboring districts (Brentwood Borough or West Jefferson Hills, for example) they may be able to add work to their schedule in another district if there isn't enough work in a single district. In other words, if there isn't an opening available on a particular day at one district, there may be openings in another district to help fill the candidate's schedule. Shifts will often vary and could be a few hours in the morning, afternoon, or full days. Flexible scheduling is available and the candidate may chose to work whatever opening and shifts are a best fit for them. Some positions could lead to a more permanent position with the district.

The district has hired several previous substitute candidates over the last few years.

• West Mifflin Area School District should have several long-term, full-time, substitute paraprofessional opportunities available when the school year opens in late August. These shifts are Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day. Elementary schools = 8am - 3:30pm; Middle and High Schools = 7:30am - 3pm
• Prefer candidates have reliable transportation as it can be difficult to access the schools by bus and report for the shifts on time.

Paraprofessionals:

Assist in the reinforcement of previous instruction or to reinforce the implementation of an existing behavior plan for students as directed Assist with the development and implementation of collaborative practices to help support services for students as needed and required Assist student(s) with activities of daily living. This is not an exhaustive list of potential responsibilities. There are additional assigned duties and responsibilities as directed.

Pay rate:

$14-$15 per hour (depending on the district)

West Mifflin Area School District Long-term Paraprofessionals:

$16.25 per hour Clearances required within the last year: PA Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse Clearance FBI fingerprints through the Dept. of Education Act 126 Clearance (online Mandated Reporter training) Arrest/Conviction Record form (Act 24) and Act 168 clearance (Precision will provide these forms for the candidates to complete) Pre-employment physical and TB test required (neither should be more than 1 year old) Don't know how to get your clearances? Additional Requirements:

It is preferred candidates have some experience (at least 1- 3 months) working with children in grades PK-12. All interested candidates must have either a high school diploma or GED.
