Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Paraeducator - Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year!
Hours :
8:50am-3:50pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Job Type:
Contract until the end of the school year This job will have the following responsibilities: Provide instruction to individuals in cognitive, motor skills, feeding, self-help, and behavior control as directed by the teacher. Assist the teacher in maintaining the health and safety of physically handicapped students. Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing hands and faces, toileting, and changing diapers/clothing. Monitor and control student behavior following established guidelines. Assist specialists with physical development activities. Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established procedures. Attend training and in-services related to medical interventions and instructional programs. Assist students with braces and orthopedic equipment, including lifting and repositioning. Maintain records related to student progress. Implement positive behavior intervention support policies. Collaborate with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff. Assist students in social interactions. Work cooperatively with others and independently as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
