Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El Early Childhood Center Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El's Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and collaborative Classroom Assistant to join our early childhood team. The Classroom Assistant works closely with the Head Teacher and other classroom staff to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. This position plays an important role in supporting children's learning, development, and daily routines while contributing to a positive and professional classroom community. We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine interest in working with young children Is warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable Works collaboratively and communicates professionally Is able to follow direction while demonstrating initiative and sound judgment Understands the importance of developmentally appropriate practice Is committed to continued professional growth and learning Responsibilities include: Supporting the Head Teacher in implementing classroom programming Participating in learning activities, including music, games, circle time, and facilitated play Supervising and supporting children throughout the school day, including during transitions, outdoor play, meals, and routines Helping maintain an organized, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment Preparing and organizing classroom materials and supplies Supporting children with toileting, dressing, snack, and lunch as needed Maintaining confidentiality and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues A high school diploma or CDA is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Experience working with young children is valued. The position includes ongoing professional development and annual childcare training.
