100% Remote (Initial 2-3 weeks onsite training in San Diego, CA 92123)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 7:00 AM•4:00
PM PST Pay Rate:
$25•$30/hour (DOE)
Duration:
1-year W2 contract (high potential to extend or convert to FTE) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Program Assistant I to support the Energy Savings Assistance Program. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy and compliance in invoice processing and program data management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a primarily remote position; however, candidates must be available to attend 2-3 weeks of onsite training in San Diego, CA, with occasional in-person training sessions as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform quality control (QC) on incoming invoices from third-party vendors Conduct intake, verification, and validation of invoice data and supporting documentation Ensure accuracy of billing details, including matching numbers and applying correct program measures Process account adjustments, including write-offs and reversals as needed Support journal entries and general ledger (G/L) account reconciliation Assist with billing analysis and additional program-related administrative tasks Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with company standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ years of experience in a Program Assistant, Project Coordinator, or Program Support role Strong experience with invoice processing, data validation, and administrative support Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP preferred Experience working within large corporate environments preferred (e.g., financial services, insurance, utilities) Desired Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently as a self-starter Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing processes Excellent organizational and time management skills Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment Veterans are highly encouraged to apply
