Girls and women ages 13+ Overview HERimpact League is seeking a dependable, organized, and mission-driven Program Assistant to support the launch and operation of our programs for girls and women ages 13 and up. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative work, community outreach, event support, and helping programs run smoothly behind the scenes. HERimpact League is a developing nonprofit focused on reducing barriers to success for women and girls by providing holistic support programs that promote stability, self-sufficiency, confidence, wellness, leadership, and long-term well-being. The Program Assistant will help support HIL's first launch program, Bloom Mentorship & Personal Development Program , a 12-week mentorship and personal development pilot focused on self-worth, confidence, emotional wellness, etiquette, healthy relationships, leadership, wellness, financial literacy, career readiness, and community care. This position is a great fit for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and excited to be part of building a meaningful community-centered organization from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Administrative Support Assist with the day-to-day coordination of HERimpact League programs, meetings, workshops, and events. Help organize program materials, participant folders, forms, supplies, sign-in sheets, and weekly workshop documents. Support the Bloom 12-week program by preparing handouts, attendance records, activity materials, surveys, and participant communications. Maintain accurate records for participants, volunteers, mentors, guest speakers, sponsors, and community partners. Assist with typing, proofreading, filing, data entry, document preparation, and general clerical tasks. Communication & Scheduling Respond professionally to emails, phone calls, messages, and general inquiries. Help schedule meetings, workshops, guest speakers, mentor sessions, and community partner appointments. Maintain calendars, reminders, and program timelines using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar tools. Support communication with parents/guardians, participants, mentors, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. Outreach & Community Engagement Assist with outreach to local schools, colleges, businesses, churches, wellness providers, nonprofits, and community organizations. Help distribute flyers, survey links, QR codes, program updates, and recruitment materials. Support participant recruitment, mentor recruitment, guest speaker coordination, and sponsor outreach. Represent HERimpact League with professionalism, warmth, and respect in community settings. Event & Workshop Support Help set up and break down program sessions, workshops, meetings, and events. Greet participants, parents, volunteers, mentors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy. Assist with registration, check-in, name tags, refreshments, supplies, and room setup. Help ensure workshops run smoothly and participants feel welcomed and supported. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Professional, respectful, and welcoming personality. Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Canva. Experience with data entry, office support, scheduling, customer service, or program coordination preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying accurate and detail-oriented. Comfortable working with girls, women, parents, mentors, volunteers, and community partners. Passion for women's empowerment, youth development, mentorship, wellness, and community care. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Experience with nonprofits, schools, youth programs, counseling offices, wellness spaces, or community organizations is a plus. QuickBooks or basic bookkeeping experience is helpful but not required. Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
